Viewers Choose What Gets Screened in Local Cinemas
The above trailer is for a crowdsourcing cinema experience powered by Birmingham-based FlixFixer, a service that lets patrons choose what shows and movies are shown in local cinemas on any given night. People can schedule a film (their own or picked from a distributor's database) and pay a deposit to secure the screening. They can promote the film as seen with the above trailer and the associated blogpost, and if 20 people buy tickets then the scheduler stands to make a small profit. There’s no better way to please the crowds than by letting the crowds choose for themselves.
